Crane Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious NCCCO Certified Crane Operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of Lattice Boom Crawler cranes. You will be required to hoist, move, and position machinery, equipment, etc. at construction sites. Ideal candidates will have a keen eye for detail, good coordination, and excellent judgement to handle the equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cranes to life, move, or place equipment and materials
• Conduct and log daily crane inspections and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes
• Provide support in calculating maximum crane capacity and oversee load weights to prevent overloading.
• Update daily activity logs
• Read and interpret lift plans and follow directions closely to execute lifts with accuracy.
• Use radio and hand signals to communicate with crew
• Collaborate with site managers, riggers, and other team members to coordinate lifting activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or disruptions to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid NCCCO Crane Operator certification or license relevant to the specific type of crane being operated.
• Proven experience as a Crane Operator in a construction or industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of lifting procedures, crane operations, and load charts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
•  Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle the demands of crane operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent
