Heavy Haul CDL Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and responsible Heavy Haul CDL Driver to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our construction operations, you will be responsible for transporting heavy construction equipment and materials to various job sites safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers equipped with specialized equipment for loading, securing, and unloading construction materials.
• Safely transport construction equipment to and from designated job sites, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring that all equipment is safe and in proper working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, cargo, and any incident reports.
• Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Assist with onsite loading and unloading of materials as required.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional interactions with clients and crew members.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Proven experience as a heavy haul driver or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in the construction and transportation sectors.
• Ability to operate and maneuver various pieces of construction equipment for loading and unloading.
• Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
